How to convert a PDF to JPG
- Choose your PDF. Click the box above and pick the file. It opens in this tab; nothing is sent anywhere.
- Pick resolution and quality. Standard suits most uses. Screen gives small files for sharing, Print gives sharp ones for printing. Lower quality means smaller files.
- Convert and download. Each page becomes its own JPG with a preview. Save them one at a time, or all together as a ZIP.
Good to know
- Every page is converted. Files are named after your PDF, for example
report-page-1.jpg. Need only some pages? Split the PDF first. - The resolutions: Screen renders at 72 dpi, Standard at 150 dpi and Print at 300 dpi. An A4 page at 150 dpi comes out about 1240 by 1754 pixels.
- Text becomes part of the picture. A JPG can’t hold selectable text or links, so keep the PDF if you need those.
- Password-protected PDFs won’t open. The tool says so. Remove the password with Unlock PDF first.
Your PDF stays on your device
Most online converters upload your PDF to their servers. Here, every page is rendered to an image inside this browser tab, using the open-source PDF.js library.
The page’s security policy tells your browser to block uploads, so the document can’t leave your device even by accident. You can check: open your browser’s developer tools, watch the Network tab, and convert a file. How InTheTab works
You’ll also see a few small requests to Google Analytics. That’s our visit counter, and it never receives your files. Privacy policy
Questions
Is it safe to convert a confidential PDF here?
Yes. The file is read and converted by your own browser and is never uploaded. We never get your files or text: the site has no accounts, and its only analytics, Google Analytics, counts visits without ever seeing what you add here.
Which resolution should I choose?
Standard (150 DPI) is sharp on screen and fine for most documents. Use Print (300 DPI) for printing or zooming into small text; each image has about four times as many pixels. Screen (72 DPI) is the smallest.
Is there a page limit?
There’s no fixed limit. Pages are rendered one at a time to save memory, but long PDFs at Print resolution take a while, so keep the tab open until it finishes.
Do I need to install anything or sign up?
No. It runs in any modern browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android or iPhone. It’s free, there’s no sign-up and no watermark is added.
