Most online converters upload your file, process it on their computers and send it back. These tools skip the upload entirely.

We never get your files
There is nothing on InTheTab that could receive a file: no upload server, no accounts. Every page also ships a Content Security Policy that lets the page talk only to InTheTab and to Google Analytics, which we use to count visits. Our code never sends your files, file names or anything you type into a tool.
Check it yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, go to the Network tab and use any tool. Your file never appears in it; the only outside requests are small visit counts to Google Analytics. Step-by-step guide
What does leave your device
- Background remover downloads its open-source AI model from Hugging Face the first time. Your image still never leaves the tab.
- Visit counts. Google Analytics records which pages are visited and which tools are used, never your files. Visitors in Europe are asked first. Privacy policy
- Video downloader runs only on your own computer with
npm run dev, never on this website.

Video downloader
Paste a YouTube, Instagram or Pinterest link. The platform is detected automatically, and your own computer downloads the file and hands it to you.
This tool needs yt-dlp and ffmpeg (licenses), so it runs on your machine instead of on this website. Your links and files never pass through a third-party server.
- Clone this repo and put
yt-dlpandffmpegintools/video/bin/, or install them on your PATH. - Run
npm run dev. For Instagram, log in there in your browser first and runCOOKIES_FROM_BROWSER=chrome npm run dev(use your browser’s name). - Open
http://localhost:3000/#video
Instagram says “login required”? Restart the server with COOKIES_FROM_BROWSER=chrome npm run dev while you’re logged in to Instagram in that browser. Your cookies stay on your machine.
